Rex: The art of horror is truly an impressive piece of art. It takes many factors in order to create just that one, right jumpscare to make you fall from your chair.
T: And with both movies and video games using the horror for entertainment? You better have a soft floor. Because these to not only will scare the crap out of you, they'll make sure you won't get back up. Michael Myers, the bearer of the Thorn Curse.
Charlotte: And Jack Baker, the Daddy infected with the Mold.
Rex: I'm Rex, he's T, and that's Charlotte and we're here to analyze their abilities and weapons to find out who is the one to really watch out for in the darkness.

Rex: I'm Rex, he's T, and that's Charlotte and we're here to analyze their abilities and weapons to find out who is the one to really watch out for in the darkness.
MICHAEL MYERS
Rex: Imagine being a normal child. You live with your sister, mother and father in a normal house until one day you start losing your mind. You get illusions in your sleep and voices telling you to kill.
T: That thought is reality to Michael Audrey Myers.
Rex: After said dreams and illusions of events happening centuries ago, the six-year-old Michael was told to say that he hates people, and it went even further. On the 31st of October, Michael committed his first act of murder.
Charlotte: He and his sister were alone in the house, with their parents being away. The sister called her boyfriend over and, instead of taking care of Michael, spent her time with him.
T: Looks like she forgot the first rule of horror movies: your younger siblings will fucking end you if you don't give them those Alpha-Bits from the top of the shelf. Honestly, they're pretty good, so I don't blame 'em.
Rex: After Mike's sister's boyfriend left, he went to the kitchen to grab a butcher knife, which apparently his family has in the house.
T: Pretty sure their parents predicted that he won't get those Alpha-Bits.
Charlotte: While wearing a clown costume that he used to go around the houses for collecting candy, he walked upstairs and murdered his sister in cold blood. After he was done, he walked outside of his house to wait until his parents come home and police grab him.
T: He was put into Smith's Grove Sanitarium, where the psychiatrist Sam Loomis diagnosed him, saying that for the fifteen years Michael was in there, he barely moved or spoke a word.
Rex: Finally, Michael decided to escape. One day before Halloween in 1978 he carved the word "sister" on the wall of his room before breaking out and freeing the other inmates. He killed and disguised as a truck driver and proceeded to break into a hardware store to acquire knives, rope and his signature mask.
T: In that moment, Michael Audrey Myers died. In that moment, Michael Myers was born! B-but the, uh...the more terrifying version.

T: Come on, one of us has to be the comedy relief! Well, either way, Michael is known for his nigh-indestructibility. Aside from his strength, with which he can easily snap your neck, he can tank being stabbed, pummeled, shot in both of his eyes and being shot by an entire firing squad and simply be more pissed.
Charlotte: Even with all of that, an explosion that leveled a room was able to put him in a coma, which still shows that while Myers is tough, he's not indestructible. He's also pretty slow and a big target. Kind of like T's ego.

Charlotte: Unlike your average serial killer, Michael actually bothers outsmarting his targets before killing them, hiding evidence or even disguising others as himself in order to escape. He is not messy with his kills and most often does it quickly and cleanly, so it takes others quite some time to realize they're in danger.
T: But that doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy some good ol' Halloween puppeteering. I personally always enjoyed scaring people. Michael is the guy that gets it.

He does so mostly by utilizing the technique known as Slasherportation, a horror-themed teleportation used by horror movie antagonists to scare the viewers. It's basically "oh, he's over there", but in the next moment, he appears in your face out of completely nowhere.
T: So, just a cheap way of jump scaring people. What is truly terrifying is that he can survive having the both of his eyeballs shot and still perfectly see, which hints at some sort of healing factor.
Charlotte: However, Michael's strength is not his natural. And instead, it was granted to him by an ancient tribe of druids, the curse going by the name of "Curse of Thorn". The druids need to curse some family in order to prevent plague and drought from being a problem in their tribes. Once the druids select a family, the curse possesses one of its members, but for it to fully work, he or she, needs to murder their family and only then will the druids' people be safe.
T: I mean, they could just create some antibodies for the diseases and make some kinda magic potion so nobody will get hungry. They could also go beat up Romans while they're at it. I mean, they're druids, right? They can do that kind of stuff!
Rex: Aside from superhuman attributes, Myers also gained "immunity" from death, which is about what it sounds. Every time Michael dies, he will come back. He's literally unkillable unless the curse is somehow taken off of him.
T: Y'know, I'm getting terrible Deadpool vibes here.

T: Well, even with Thanos being on his ass every time he dies, it still takes a whole year for him to actually come back, giving the previous targets prep time if they know that he will come back. Even if they don't, they'll still know how to get rid of him if they did it once already.
Charlotte: And while his slasher portation helps him get from point A to point B, he's still fairly slow in terms of actual movement and is an easy target for ranged weapons or simply more agile opponents.

JACK BAKER
Rex: October 2014. Jack Baker alongside his wife and daughter, Marguerite and Zoe Baker respectively, was thinking about reinforcing the fence of his ranch due to the oncoming hurricane, which already destroyed his old house. At that moment, his son, Lucas, ran up to him, talking something about a tanker crashed in the nearby bayou. The next day, Jack went on to investigate.
Charlotte: What he discovered was not what he was expecting. While he did discover that the tanker was completely destroyed and found dead bodies, he also found two girls. Mia, an adult, who seemingly worked on the ship, and Eveline, a young girl. Jack decided to welcome them into their house until they would be able to return home. However, everything that could go wrong, indeed went wrong.
T: Turns out Eveline was actually a bio-weapon and as soon as she woke up the next day she infected every member of the family one by one, with Mia and Jack being the first two targets. Due to Eveline being a living fungus, the family shared a hive mind, which was completely under her control. Except, interestingly enough, Lucas and Zoe.
Rex: She made them house Mia and herself as extended family. If that wasn't enough, she forced them to capture tourists nearby and she turned them into the Molded creatures - monsters made of her fungal essence.
Charlotte: The family, except for Zoe, who remained the only sane member of the family and even tried to help the captured people escape, went insane and welcomed any and all people into their "family", if not straight up killing them and turning them into the previously mentioned Molded.

T: Talk about an origin story! Well, with a pretty decent origin story come pretty decent powers. Eveline's infection, or "gift", as his insane self now calls it, gave him incredible strength and durability. He's much stronger and tougher than he looks, being able to snap a neck, break a neck, decapitate people by thrusting the blunt top of the axe into their throat and tearing off the top of a car. Jokes on you, I have a bike.
Charlotte: Jack's durability is also enhanced by a large margin, being able to shrug off gunshots and even explosions without much physical damage. Too bad T's ego can't be like that.
T: I'm gonna-
Rex: T, calm down.
T: I WILL TURN THIS PIECE OF JUNK INTO SCRAP METAL IF SHE MAKES ONE MORE JOKE LIKE THAT I SWEAR.
Charlotte: smirks

Surprisingly caring for his family, even after being infected

T: Moving on, Jack isn't dumb, in fact, he's pretty far from it. Even with his insanity and bloodthirst-ity, he is the one who built his melee weapons as well as a grenade launcher and designing a flamethrower. But, despite his skill with guns, he's still not all that clever in terms of using his wit. Kinda like Charlotte. Ha, got you!

Due to being the first to be infected, Jack's infection is the strongest out of the Baker family
The Mold grants him:
-Enhanced Strength
*Jack's strength is way beyond of what a normal human of his age and build should be capable of
-Enhanced Durability
*Jack is capable of tanking being shot in the heart and walking it off as well as multiple shotgun blasts and grenade explosions
*Can heal bullet wounds in seconds
*Capable of regrowing limbs in minutes
*Was able to heal his brain being blown to bits with a point-blank gunshot in seconds
*Was able to regenerate Jack from having the entire top half of his body blown up
-Longevity
Rex:Eveline's previously mentioned "gift", the Mold, gave Jack what basically are superpowers. Which include enhanced durability, strength, longevity (due to the fact that fungal viruses don't really age) and his most well-known aspect: his healing factor.
T: The HF is basically his response to not dying. In his own words, "beats the Hell outta dying", to which I honestly agree when you're getting shot over and over again with a shotgun and grenade launcher.

T: But the real deal is what he deals his damage with. While he can sure deal some with his bare fists, he can still utilize your standard axe, shovel and a homemade spiked roller, but who cares about that when he has HOMEMADE SHEARS THAT ARE HALF CHAINSAW AND HALF A GIANT BLADE. I mean, look at that. It's beautiful.
Rex: That's because Jack made them himself, alongside the spiked roller.
T: Really? Damn, I gotta make that myself someday.
Charlotte: I would certainly like to see that.
T: I'll see who'll be laughing after I'll decapitate you with god damn chainsaw scissors!
Charlotte: Good luck.

Rex: But even this indestructible behemoth has his weaknesses. He is completely insane and goes in slicing and dicing with whatever he's currently carrying. Or, if he's not carrying anything, he'll just use his bare hands or grab anything around.
T: It's worth noting that he's pretty hot-headed and annoyed when things don't go his way. Wait...short temper, healing factor...where did I hear that one before?
Rex: That, combined with the fact that his healing factor can actually be overloaded and make his body explode make him for a person who prefers to attack weaker than those that can fight back well and he prefers to take them by surprise or use some of his tools either way.
Charlotte: The Baker family is not to be underestimated. The gift they recieved is with them always. REPLAYINGFOOTAGE.

T: Talk about an origin story! Well, with a pretty decent origin story come pretty decent powers. Eveline's infection, or "gift", as his insane self now calls it, gave him incredible strength and durability. He's much stronger and tougher than he looks, being able to snap a neck, break a neck, decapitate people by thrusting the blunt top of the axe into their throat and tearing off the top of a car. Jokes on you, I have a bike.
Charlotte: Jack's durability is also enhanced by a large margin, being able to shrug off gunshots and even explosions without much physical damage. Too bad T's ego can't be like that.

Even with his insanity and bloodthirst-ity, he is the one who built his melee weapons as well as a grenade launcher and designing a flamethrower. But, despite his skill with guns, he's still not all that clever in terms of using his wit. Kinda like Charlotte. Ha, got you!

The Mold
Jack, like the rest of his family, was infected with Eveline's "gift", a fungal virus known as the MoldDue to being the first to be infected, Jack's infection is the strongest out of the Baker family
The Mold grants him:
-Enhanced Strength
*Jack's strength is way beyond of what a normal human of his age and build should be capable of
-Enhanced Durability
*Jack is capable of tanking being shot in the heart and walking it off as well as multiple shotgun blasts and grenade explosions
-Healing Factor
*Jack's most notable ability*Can heal bullet wounds in seconds
*Capable of regrowing limbs in minutes
*Was able to heal his brain being blown to bits with a point-blank gunshot in seconds
*Was able to regenerate Jack from having the entire top half of his body blown up
-Longevity
Rex:Eveline's previously mentioned "gift", the Mold, gave Jack what basically are superpowers. Which include enhanced durability, strength, longevity (due to the fact that fungal viruses don't really age) and his most well-known aspect: his healing factor.
T: The HF is basically his response to not dying. In his own words, "beats the Hell outta dying", to which I honestly agree when you're getting shot over and over again with a shotgun and grenade launcher.

While he can sure deal some with his bare fists, he can still utilize your standard axe, shovel and a homemade spiked roller, but who cares about that when he has HOMEMADE SHEARS THAT ARE HALF CHAINSAW AND HALF A GIANT BLADE. I mean, look at that. It's beautiful.
Rex: That's because Jack made them himself, alongside the spiked roller.
T: Really? Damn, I gotta make that myself someday.
Charlotte: I would certainly like to see that.
T: I'll see who'll be laughing after I'll decapitate you with god damn chainsaw scissors!

WEAKNESSES
Insane
Lacks combat smarts, simply going in with whatever weapon he has in handWill allow his enemies to recover after, say, cutting off their leg
Short-Tempered
Even though his healing factor can heal almost any damage, he can still be incapacitated by things such as extensive damage or having his brain blown out of his skull
Large amounts of damage done in rapid succession, such as being sliced with a chainsaw, can overload his healing factor and cause an explosionRex: But even this indestructible behemoth has his weaknesses. He is completely insane and goes in slicing and dicing with whatever he's currently carrying. Or, if he's not carrying anything, he'll just use his bare hands or grab anything around.
T: It's worth noting that he's pretty hot-headed and annoyed when things don't go his way. Wait...short temper, healing factor...where did I hear that one before?
Rex: That, combined with the fact that his healing factor can actually be overloaded and make his body explode make him for a person who prefers to attack weaker than those that can fight back well and he prefers to take them by surprise or use some of his tools either way.
Charlotte: The Baker family is not to be underestimated. The gift they recieved is with them always. REPLAYINGFOOTAGE.
